Crisis Documentation Center — CRIDO is an archive-based non-profit organization led by volunteers. Its motive is to archive reliable data and information on various crises and human rights violations in Bangladesh to create a knowledge base for activists, organizations, researchers, and others.

Founded in March 2020, Crido initially focused on documenting the COVID-19 pandemic in Bangladesh, publishing monthly reports from March 2020 to October 2021.

Over time, Crido expanded its work to include a range of thematic documentation projects, including sexual harassment, border killings, the crisis of Indigenous communities, the working class, and the education sector. It has also documented significant events such as the 2021 Rupganj fire incident, protests surrounding Narendra Modi’s visit to Bangladesh, power plant workers’ protests, police action in Banshkhali (2021), and Mileston Tragedy (2026).

Crido has also documented the July uprising in Bangladesh. At present, monitoring and reporting on ongoing reforms has become a central focus of its work, alongside its continued documentation of diverse crises and human rights violations.
